Below gives information on Promotion, Relegation and the
Qualification criteria for each competition.

Dewey's
Footie
Challenge
There is no qualifying criteria to be part of Dewey's Footie Challenge.

Anyone is welcome to join in at any time, even once the season has started.

All we ask is that you are not abusive in any way.
Promotion
&
Relegation
If our current 34 competitors all finish this season and plan to take part the following season then promotion/relegation would go like this.

Gold - bottom 3 relegated to Silver.

Silver - top 4 promoted to Gold, bottom 3 relegated to Bronze.

Bronze - top 5 promoted to Silver.

This would then see the Gold Division have 11 competitors, the Silver Division have 11 competitors and the Bronze Division will have 12 competitors.

The above formula may need to be tweaked if our competitor numbers change.

Should any competitor fail to select at least 80 home teams and 80 away teams during the season, relative to each division, then they will have failed the 80/80 Rule (see below) and will automatically be relegated to the Bronze Division, even if they are currently in the Gold Division.
Champions
Knockout
To qualify for the Champions Knockout for each following season, certain criteria must be met.
The 80/80 Rule.
This rule is relative to each division.
Competitors must have played at least 80 home games and 80 away games in the current season.
However, this is assuming that at least one competitor manages to play the maximum 92 home and away games. If not, then the highest number of home/away games played by any competitor, minus 12 will be the new ruling.
For example: If the highest number of home games played is 91 and the highest number of away games played is 88, then the 80/80 Rule will effectively become the 79/76 Rule.

There are eleven ways to qualify for the Champions Knockout and in this order.
1. The current seasons Champions Knockout winner.
2. The current winner of the ARFA Trophy competition. If the winner is the same as the Champions Knockout winner then the runner up in the ARFA Trophy will qualify.
3. The highest placed competitor in the League Two table, not already qualified.
4. The highest placed competitor in the League One table, not already qualified.
5. The highest placed competitor in the Championship table, not already qualified.
6. The highest placed competitor in the Premier League table, not already qualified.
7. The highest placed competitor in the Away table, not already qualified.
8. The highest placed competitor in the Home table, not already qualified.
9. The highest placed competitor in the Bronze table, not already qualified.
10. The highest placed competitor in the Silver table, not already qualified.
11. The highest placed competitor in the Gold table, not already qualified.
As previously mentioned, all of the eleven ways to qualify for the Champions Knockout are dependent on if the 80/80 Rule is met.

ARFA
Trophy
There is no qualifying criteria to take part in the ARFA Trophy.

Anyone who is already taking part in Dewey's Footie Challenge will be eligible to take part in the ARFA Trophy.
